Dual Notebook for Desktop

The whole idea of notebook docks was interesting 10+ years ago when we had to be frugal with our I/O ports and live with subpar LCD screens. Now that notebooks have pretty much caught up with desktops, do we really need another docking solution? According to designer Yong-Seong Kim, we do.

His go-anywhere desktop docking solution calls for a large slot behind the LCD display. This is where you slide your notebook in, allowing you to access all its information from a desktop form factor. The notebook’s screen also becomes your second display, in portrait mode of course.
It’s an interesting concept but somehow, this makes as much sense as the palm folio.

    Mini Boombox GSM Cell Phone

This mini slider cell phone features a built in MP3 playing boombox that gets surprisingly loud. The best part, you don't have to forsake your existing cell phone (unless you want to). Simply pop the SIM card out of your current cell phone from AT&T/Cingular or T-Mobile and insert it into the back of the Mini Boombox Cell Phone and power it up. Call your existing cell phone number and your Mini Boombox phone starts ringing. Of course you get all the standard cell phone features you would expect including a 1.3 megapixel camera, voice dialing, SMS/MMS messaging and WAP Browser. One nice trick we like is the ability for the phone to read aloud the numbers of incoming calls using voice synthesis. The Mini Boombox GSM Cell Phone comes with 256 MB of built in memory to store your MP3 music files or videos, and the storage is expandable up to 4GB via a Micro SD card slot. Now you can share your musical tastes with everyone around you without making your old phone mad.

    IMPORTANT

The Mini Boombox GSM Cell Phone is an unlocked quad-band GSM cell phone with no included SIM card. You will need existing service with either T-Mobile or AT&T/Cingular to use this phone in the USA. It will NOT work with Verizon or Sprint. You can use your existing SIM card from your current cell phone (in which case the Boombox phone will just become your cell phone with the same number and same voicemail while the SIM card is inserted), or buy a pre-paid SIM card from T-Mobile or AT&T/Cingular.

    Product Features

    • Mini cell phone features a sliding keypad and built in boombox for playing MP3 music files
    • Quad-band unlocked GSM Phone (850/900/1800/1900 MHz), GPRS Speed for Data
    • Powerful Amplified Speakers

    Watch Phone from Hyundai

I have to admit that FOR ONCE, this watch phone looks pretty nice… Made by Hyundai, the W-100 is, as you can see, a phone that you can "wear" and which does not only feature a 1.3Mpix camera, but ALSO a touch screen, and Bluetooth! The other great news is that this phone (GSM) is available in English (as well as Chinese), and can be used as an Mp3 player (Mp3 files on MicroSD) as well as a video player! Pretty cool, isn't it ?

    The Pen Phone Concept

There have been pen phone concepts before, even a few working products, but none as slim and small as this one. However, this "design A" is not a finished product yet, and added that the undisclosed company. While most users will connect the phone to Bluetooth earpieces, those two target-shaped areas on the top and bottom are earpiece and receiver. So far, so good. What do you think.
