Lunar Baby Thermometer

Duck Young Kong presents the Lunar Baby Thermometer, a simple temperature checking device for the mother or father, aunt or uncle; whoever’s doing the placing of the hand on the head. Check the child’s temperature without uncomfortable placing of glass sticks in places of discontent.

The idea is based on a common and natural behavior of putting your hand on the forehead to measure internal heat of their body. Checking the temperature by scanning the forehead with this device is easier and faster, since it eliminates the need to insert an external tool while holding them in a still position. The intuitive shape of the device allows the user to easily understand how to hold and use the device. The organic and ergonomic shape provides a secure grasp in the users hand.

and the most important part:

After simply placing the device on the forehead, a beeping sound followed by a flashing LED alerts the user when it is done. In addition, the user can clearly see the temperature on the LCD screen, while holding the device to their baby [or sick little kid].[

Strap Ya's Solar Cell Phone charger

With everyone going green, solar energy is one of the options that people are using. Why not use it to charge your cell phone? Until now most solar panels are too bulky to be carried around, that’s why this one is ideal because it can be conveniently carried around as a key chain.

After 6-10 hours depending on the intensity of the sun rays, it obtains a full charge that gives your cell phone an extra 25 minutes worth of juice. That’s not much but to make that one last critical phone call, the ‘key-chain’ like solar charger is worth carrying around. If you are indoor or the weather is not favorable, you can plug it into an AC adapter for 3 hours to get a full charge.

If you travel a lot this gadget would come in handy, you might forget your charger or lose it while in transit. The charger is expected in Japan from Feb 9th.

Apple Remote But Not By Apple

Are you tired of losing your remotes? Tired of how they seem to clash with your very meticulously arranged IKEA furniture? Then maybe you’d want the Apple Remote, and no it’s not by who you think. Confused?

Imagine, every member of the household having their own Apple. Each is a slightly different shade of green so you’ll know who’s who. You can program your own functions to best suit your TV watching needs and should you need to go beyond that, the remote responds to motion gestures. Rotating it left lowers the volume, rotating it right raises it.

Best part is they add to your tablescape. The bowl they reside in actually recharges the Apples, err I mean remotes. Just remember to tell guests to lay off.

Fiat Xpress-Communicate with the Car Behind You

Xpress is a way to communicate with the person in the car behind you when you are in the new Fiat 500. It is a new language for communication on the road that is fun and silent (no honking), that allows you to thank someone when they yield to you, respond with character when the truck behind you honks at you, leave a love message after making a careless move, say goodbye to the people behind you, etc. Or you can simply leave it activated to communicate the music that you’re listening to, through an animated icon that dances with style. It consists of a plate with LEDs that attaches (generating empty space) to the inside of the car. It is controlled using a remote that is close to the radio controls, with which you can send a spontaneous message or load personalized animations.
